Pine Bros Throat Drops Review

THEY'RE BACK!!
You may or may not remember Pine Bros Throat Drops but they have reintroduced their throat drops and I was given the great opportunity to review them.

Here's a little info:

Trusted brand since 1870!!
In 1930 Pine Brothers was sold to the Life Savers Company and continued to flourish. Known for its 'soft drop consistency,' Pine Brothers lozenges became a favorite of adults and children alike. The product, which attracted healthiest sales in the eastern and northern states, due to its icy winters, reached its peak popularity in the 1970's. The company was sold by Life Savers, and then, having been re-sold and acquired a number of times, found itself essentially rudderless and under appreciated; this despite a legion of loyal consumers. Cost cutting changes were made to the original recipes, packaging became stale and marketing non-existent; Pine Brothers began to be made overseas. Sales declined.
Recently, Pine Brothers was acquired by the creator and former owner of Airborne, Victoria Knight-McDowell, for her new company 3 Sisters Home Products™. Much time and effort has been spent locating the original Pine Brothers recipes, redesigning the packaging, and creating an exciting yet classic new look. The natural product is once again being made in America, and is launching nationally in fall 2011. At which time old Mr. Pine, will succeed once again in "making people happy."

I myself had never heard of Pine Bros so I was ready to test out the throat drops.  I am not a cough drop kind of person because they are all so "strong" and "harsh" I know they are suppose to be that way to well soothe your sore throat but honestly it doesn't do me any good and I end up throwing it away. BUT I will have to say that Pine Bros Throat Drops are in no way "harsh" they are very soothing and "chewy" or softish as everyone says.
I'm a smoker so it was a nice surprise to see that the throat drops "cured" my cotton mouth. So I will be keeping a pack in my purse even when I'm not sick.
I have to say my 5yr old son Chase was my biggest tester on the throat drops as he ate them like candy!! He ate a whole pack of the cherry flavored in less than a day - so yes he loves them. He looked at me funny when I told him they were "cough drops" as he thought mommy was letting him eat candy all day, but with only five calories a drop I was ok with him eating them up.
   {The lighting was horrible but I had to show you that face}

Another great thing my family loved about Pine Bros was the pack they came in. It's gross to dig in your purse to find a cough drop only to find them on the bottom of your purse, paper half opened and of course your not going to eat one so your stuck with a sore throat. The Pine Bros Throat Drops comes in an easy to open/close pack that can be refilled and so much easier to find in your purse. Chad also liked the fact he could stick the pack in his back pocket while at work for easy access.

To purchase Pine Bros Throat Drops, you can find them at CVS, Harris Teeter and many other drug and food stores. You can also buy these online thru the Online Sales on their website.

 Also you can head on over to Pine Bros. Facebook and thank them for bringing their awesome product back!!
