Coupon Organization is KEY to becoming a successful couponer. Without some kind of method your not going to get the maximum savings....which is your goal!!!
Here are two main Organization Options:
-Accordion Style Coupon File-
*This method of organizing is mainly for those who file by whole inserts and don't cut all the coupons at once. If your wanting to keep up with insert dates this is the best option.
*Binder Method*
This is my fav & the one I use & it works best for me. The key is to remember there is no right or wrong way. It's whatever is right & feels comfortable for you.
Most couponers use a 3in binder, but you can start out w/ a 1 ½ in. You can use between your regular standard binder or the Trapper Keeper. I have used both & love both of them. In your binder you need to have the following: Divider tabs: for catergorizing your coupons(which I'll list below an example. Protective sleeves: to use for sales ads or coupon inserts you don't want to cut. Pencil pouch: to hold your pens, paper, scissors, etc. Baseball card holders: for keeping all your precious coupons :)
