How To Stockpile in Small Places

I get told by a lot of people that they just don't have the room to start a stockpile in their home. They either live in a small house, apartment, etc. Also most everyone says "Well I don't have a garage or basement for a stockpile". Well you don't need a basement or garage to start a stockpile for your family. And another important tip is you don't have to have a MASSIVE stockpile like most everyone sees on T.V these days.

I live in a Townhouse, I don't have a basement nor a garage and I'm here to tell you today it CAN be done! I don't have a huge stockpile like you see elsewhere, I have what my family needs and what I have room for. The only disadvantage to stockpiling in a small place is not everything is together. You may have some in the kitchen, the pantry closet, bathroom, etc.

Here's how I work my stockpile.
I'm not one that really uses the bedroom to stockpile items. However I do have a plastic storage thingy in my closet that I use to put most of my free samples or stuff I know I won't use and could be gifted or donated.

I have seen a lot of people use these little storage totes to store beauty items under their bed. However if I were to put something under my bed, out of sight, it would be forgotten. But this could work out great for those who might want to try it. It fits perfectly under your bed and it's out of the way.

For my "paper" stockpile I store everything on a shelf in my little laundry closet. I at one point had all my laundry detergent on there as well.....but that didn't last long the shelf was starting to fall so it had to be moved. So now I have my toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex and some dryer sheets.

I am lucky enough to have a small kitchen pantry/closet. It's under my stairs so it's not a full height closet which makes it a little difficult to store things and not to mention my hot water heater is in there as well. So I've made do with what I have. I put in 2 bookshelves that are only 3 tiers high so they fit perfectly. I store my household supplies and the overflow of food in this closet.

In my upstairs bathroom I have a closet that I store all my beauty products. And under the shelves I have another 2 drawer plastic storage thingy that I keep all my razors, toothbrushes and floss in.

The point is you can stockpile in just about any space in your home. It doesn't have to be perfect. Also you don't have to spend a ton of money buy shelving or what not to make your stockpile. A great place to look at shelves are yard sales or maybe your children have a shelf or plastic storage thingy they no longer need. In my opinion stockpiling and couponing is trying to save your family money so there's no need to spend a fortune to buy shelving.
I hope this little post can help some of you that feel your place is to small to start your stockpile. If you have any tips or ideas feel free to share them with us.
